life ceremonies

I am a fully trained wedding and funeral celebrant with a strong background in theatre and performance. As a member of OBOD (Order of Bards Ovates and Druids) I have a deep feeling for the power of ritual in all its forms.

Weddings...and renewal of vows

A wedding is such an important rite of passage. As well as the legal and public declaration of a couples’ wish to be together and grow together, there is the more personal, emotional and spiritual aspect of this ceremony.

Handfasting is a beautiful marriage ritual based on ancient Celtic tradition. As a ceremonial form, it is becoming increasingly popular amongst people searching for an unusual, innovative yet meaningful way to express their love and commitment to each other.

Civil Partnerships and Conversions ...

A funeral is both a celebration of a life and an opportunity to express our personal grief for the loss of that life. It is a delicate balance and one that requires very careful planning so that everyone concerned can feel satisfied that they have both done justice to their loved one and given themselves an opportunity to express their own needs and feelings to the full.

Memorial Ceremonies

Following the death of someone close, family and friends often like to gather together some tine after the official ritual of the funeral, to remember in their own way, the life that has ended.

Naming Ceremonies

For those who would like to acknowledge both their own rite of passage into parenthood and celebrate the arrival of their child, a naming ceremony is the perfect celebration.
